Plenty of players in the NBA are getting some valuable minutes this summer in the NBA Summer League. It’s highly entertaining basketball and we’ve seen some impressive performances from many different players. On Thursday, former Kentucky star Shaedon Sharpe drained an insanely deep three-pointer from near the NBA logo.

Check that out below.

Sharpe has been having a big summer, and he even showed off his insane vertical on Tuesday against the Charlotte Hornets. That night, Sharpe, who is about to enter his sophomore season in the NBA, finished with 26 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 31 minutes of work. He shot 8-17 from the field and 2-4 from beyond the arc, even showcasing some minor playmaking chops at times. Tuesday’s performance was a major step up from his Las Vegas debut on Sunday when he posted just nine points on a poor 4-18 shooting clip.

Last year for the Trailblazers, he averaged 9.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. He figures to be an electrifying piece to watch this season with Scoot Henderson.

Sharpe is of Canadian decent but came to the United States to play basketball. Coming out of Dream City Christian, he was the No. 1 player in the 2022 class before reclassifying to the 2021 class. Sharpe then committed to the University of Kentucky and enrolled during spring semester.

The Trailblazers rolled the dice on him with a top 10 pick, despite not having seen him play in any game action since his highly celebrated high school days for Dream City Christian (Glendale, Arizona)–where he was ranked as the No. 1 shooting guard in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus Rankings
