On Thursday night, the Boston Celtics (52-24) are in Wisconsin, taking on the Milwaukee Bucks

They have been one of the best teams in the NBA all season long and entered the game as the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

With the NBA Playoffs coming up, I think they should consider signing four-time NBA All-Star Kemba Walker.

Why?

The veteran point guard is only 32 years old and played in nine games for the Dallas Mavericks this season with averages of 8.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest.

Even though the Celtics have one of the most talented rosters in the league, they could use more point guard depth on the roster.

Walker is not the star he once was, but he has a lot of experience, and there would be no risk in signing him.

From 2019-21, the former UConn star played 99 regular season games with the Celtics and averaged 19.9 points, 4.8 assists and 3.9 rebounds per contest.

In 2020, he also helped lead the team to the Eastern Conference Finals as their starting point guard.

The NBA Playoffs are a lot different than the regular season, and sometimes role players can have a significant impact on winning a series or not.

Injuries, foul trouble and slumps are all things that can happen to starting players, so having the right reserves is essential.

In addition, Walker hasn't played in an NBA game since January 5, so he would come well-rested.

His career averages are 19.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.2 steals per contest in 750 regular season games.
