Your Los Angeles Lakers have produced a variety of top-notch golfers, at last according to former Showtime-era champ Byron Scott.

Scott, a 6'2" shooting guard who played for LA from 1983-93 and again from 1996-97, has hit the courses with several high-caliber NBA golfers.

Byron Scott appeared on Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson's excellent interview series Scoop B Selects to talk about a wide variety of topics (the whole interview is well worth watching in full, so we've embedded it below). Things got a bit spicy when talk turned to Scott picking his all-time top five NBA players who golf.

"Jerry West," Scott said. "He’s probably going to be my No. 1 pick. Stephen Curry is probably going to be No. 2. Andre Iguodala is a very good golfer as well and is somebody that I love and is just a great person and then I’m going to put myself in the group with those guys and then my fifth guy would be James Worthy ‘cause that’s my boy."

Curry missed the weekend cut at a Web.com event a few years ago by 11 strokes (excellent for an amateur), so one has to wonder just how awesome West, a former Warriors executive who oversaw two of Curry's four title teams, must be when it comes to hitting the links. It's no surprise to see Iguodala (or, frankly, Scott) make the list, but it's interesting that Worthy is the other Showtime Laker singled out by Scott.
