The Philadelphia 76ers are waiving two-way point guard Javonte Smart, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The move coincides with the team signing power forward Kenneth Lofton Jr. to a two-way contract of his own. So Philly needed to make another move to clear a two-way spot and Smart will be the odd man out.

Smart, 24, is 6-foot-4 and in the final season in which he is eligible for a two-way deal, as players can only sign such contracts when they’ve been in the NBA for three years or less. Smart is in his third season.

He has appeared in just one game with the Sixers, though four with the Miami Heat last year and 13 with the Milwaukee Bucks as a rookie the year before that. He carries NBA career averages of 2.8 points and 1.3 rebounds.
