The Golden State Warriors are 16-2 on the year and boast the best record in the Western Conference.

Given that Klay Thompson continues to be out and the level of competition that Golden State constantly faces, nobody was expecting them to look this good this early in the season.

For whatever reason, the random mishmash of talent on the roster works this year.

The Warriors beat the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night after trailing by 19 points in the first half. Key to the win was the contribution of team forward Andrew Wiggins.

Wiggins has been on an incredible hot streak ever since posterizing his former teammate Karl-Anthony Towns during a game earlier this year.

After the 76ers win, Stephen Curry spoke out on Wiggins’ great start to the 2021-22 NBA season and one little trick he uses to keep his teammate hungry: reminding him of what he did to Towns.

“I let him dunk on me in the locker room and yelled out KAT’s name,” Curry said, per NBA insider Joe Viray.

Well, whatever works.

Obviously it isn’t all paradise with the Warriors. Curry and head coach Steve Kerr seem to have a strong difference of opinion in one regard, and continuous trade rumors continue to loom.

But given where Golden State was last year, clearly the squad is heading in the right direction.
