Steph Curry: LeBron James' go-ahead three-pointer reminds him of Kyrie Irving's game-winner in 2016 NBA Finals

LeBron James gave Steph Curry a taste of his own medicine in the final minute of the play-in game between the Lakers and Warriors, hitting a deep go-ahead three-pointer over Curry with just under a minute remaining to give Los Angeles the win.

When asked about LeBron's shot, Curry recalled a similar experience he had during the 2016 Finals, only that time, it was one of LeBron's teammates who nailed a big shot late in the game.

"I've seen it before," Curry said of LeBron's deep three. "About five years ago, I know what it's like. This one I was a little further away so I don't feel too bad about it."

In Game 7 of the Finals between the Warriors and Cavaliers, the two teams were tied with under a minute to go when Kyrie Irving hit a three-pointer over Curry that gave Cleveland the lead. Golden State would not score again in the game and the Cavaliers ended up winning the championship.

In this case, the stakes were much lower but the win did earn the Lakers the seventh seed, as well as escaping the play-in tournament. Meanwhile, the Warriors will need to beat the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday to keep their playoff hopes alive.
