On Wednesday evening, the Golden State Warriors are playing the Milwaukee Bucks at the Chase Center in San Francisco.  

During the game, two-time MVP Steph Curry made NBA history by moving ahead of Baron Davis (6,025) for 40th on the all-time assists list.

Following Davis, the next player for Curry to pass will be Hall of Famer John Havlicek (6,114).

Via The Golden State Warriors: "Steph Curry has passed Baron Davis for for 40th most assists in NBA history."

Curry entered the evening with averages of 27.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists per contest while shooting 45.0% from the field and 40.7% from the three-point range in 56 games. 

The Warriors are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 32-28 record in 60 games. 

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games but most recently lost to the Boston Celtics by a score of 140-88. 

Following their matchup with the Bucks, the Warriors will play their next game on Thursday evening when they host the Chicago Bulls. 

At home, they are 16-15 in the 31 games they have played at the Chase Center. 

Curry will turn 36 later this month and is in his 15th season in the NBA. 

However, he still remains among the best players in the league and recently played in his tenth NBA All-Star Game. 

The four-time NBA Champion has career averages of 24.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 47.3% from the field and 42.6% from the three-point range.
