Steph Curry was an absolute monster against the LA Clippers on Wednesday night. So much so, that he actually made history throughout the process.
According to Warriors PR, Steph Curry is the first player in NBA history to make at least 7 three-pointers in four consecutive games. Against the Clippers, he ended up shooting 9/19 from deep at 47%. By the end of the night, Steph Curry ended up with 41 points on 48/47/100 shooting.
Unfortunately for Curry and the Warriors, he didn't receive much help from most of the starting lineup. Andrew Wiggins had 10 points on 40% shooting, Draymond Green had 9 points on 33% shooting, and Klay Thompson had 12 points on 27% shooting. The only starter to put up decent numbers alongside Curry was Jonathan Kuminga who had 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists on 46% shooting.
Other than Curry, the biggest bright spot for the Warriors was Brandin Podziemski, who put up 25 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds on 75% shooting.
Going into tonight, the Golden State Warriors had a five-game winning streak. They had played much-improved basketball throughout the stretch, but fell victim to their inability to close games that they've shown all season. From the moment that the Clippers and Warriors engaged in a fourth-quarter scuffle, it went downhill immediately for the Warriors and the Clippers regained the lead.
Despite the loss, the Golden State Warriors still have a 26-26 record and are 1.5 games ahead of the 11th seed to stay in the Play-in tournament.
