LA Clippers chairman Steve Ballmer wants the Intuit Dome to be the best basketball arena in the world. Set to open for the 2024-25 season, the Intuit Dome will be the new home of the Clippers, and it has several innovative features that project to make the fan experience unlike anywhere else. Amongst these is the acre-sized scoreboard that Ballmer recently spoke on.

Appearing on the latest episode of Podcast P, which is presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment, Ballmer said, "I wanted an arena that works for the true basketball fan... and there's some things that – I wanted more noise. I wanted people closer to the action. I wanted people to be comfortable, so they're not just squirming in their [seat]. You want people up and at it. But people want legroom. We saw an early option to do a crazy thing for a scoreboard. And it's like okay, is this really going to work? Our scoreboard is an acre. We have an acre of scoreboard. That's 44,000 square feet. The average big NBA scoreboard is 9,000 square feet. So we have about five times as much scoreboard as the biggest scoreboard out there."

This should be a really unique way for fans to view replays, live stats, and much more from wherever their seat is. With just one more season at Crypto.com Arena, the Clippers are excited for the Intuit Dome.
