The Phoenix Suns are landing veteran forward Royce O’Neale from the Brooklyn Nets in a trade that also involves the Memphis Grizzlies, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

This is the second deal of the day for the Nets, who are also sending guard Spencer Dinwiddie to the Toronto Raptors, as we relayed here.

O’Neale had been rumored to be available for the past several weeks leading up to the deadline, and the Suns were among those who have been engaged with Brooklyn for at least a few days, maybe longer.

Along with O’Neal, the Suns are receiving power forward David Roddy from the Grizzlies for a pick swap, Charania noted. The Suns now have two available roster spots in the event they would like to sign a veteran free agent following the trade deadline.

The moves should give Phoenix some extra punch behind the likes of stars such as Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.

Along with the pick swap, the Grizzlies are receiving a second-rounder in the trade.
