The Phoenix Suns are playing another contest in the Valley - this time hosting the Sacramento Kings - and will again be without Bol Bol after his right foot sprain is perhaps more serious than thought.

"We're still doing our evaluation on that, we should have more info tomorrow [Wednesday] or Thursday on that," said Suns coach Frank Vogel ahead of Tuesday's game.

Vogel was then asked if he believed the injury was long-term.

"Hopefully not."

Bol hasn't played since Jan. 11 against the Los Angeles Lakers after what was initially ruled as right foot soreness. He missed previous games due to an ankle sprain as well.

Though Bol started the year off slow, he's emerged as an interesting piece in Vogel's rotation.

After playing just seven games heading into January (with no more than five minutes logged in each contest), Bol has played 10+ minutes in the four games he's featured in thus far, averaging 8.8 points on 77.8% shooting with 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per night.

He was one rebound shy of a double-double in Jan. 1's win over Portland in just 20 minutes of action.

Injuries have been an unfortunate yet recurring theme for Phoenix to begin the 2023-24 season, as major stars such as Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have all missed time thanks to various ailments.

Earlier this month, Vogel praised Bol's work ethic:

Heading into tonight's meeting with the Kings, Damion Lee (meniscus surgery) and Yuta Watanabe were the only other injured member of the Suns.
