Phoenix Suns G/F Grayson Allen came into the season as a polarizing player - but his play (as well as lack of questionable incidents on the court) have helped flip the script when it comes to outside perception.

Allen is now set to be a free agent in July 2024 - and his strong season has led to positive attention from multiple outlets, including Bleacher Report.

B/R writer Eric Pincus ranked the top 25 free agents of 2024 - and the Suns sharpshooter came in at number nine, ahead of established stars such as DeMar DeRozan.

Pincus wrote this on Allen:

"You might be surprised to see Grayson Allen listed as a top-10 free agent, but he's been a vital part of the Suns this season. Allen has started in all of his 52 games, and he's shooting a league-leading 48.5 percent from three-point range. He fights (within his ability) on defense, can play on or off the ball and knows how to play off star talent like Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

"Allen, who will turn 29 in October, is a ready-made role player who may test the Suns' willingness to spend this offseason. The new CBA's rules greatly restrict expensive contenders, and the Suns already have three players earning about $150 million combined (Devin Booker, Bradley Beal and Durant). Can they afford to pay Allen enough not to relocate in free agency?"

Allen has become a vital part of the Suns' identity this summer, and it's truly no surprise to see Allen ranked so high for those who have consistently watched the Suns this season.

Allen is likely looking for a deal in the four-year, $90-100 million range, and Suns owner Mat Ishbia's pronounced willingness to spend should be a good omen when it comes to retaining Allen for the long haul.
