Suns' Jusuf Nurkic pokes fun at Draymond Green following podcast rant

Draymond Green has escalated his war of words with Jusuf Nurkic.

Nurkic made headlines on Saturday after he claimed Green hadn't learned anything from his recent suspension. Green then used his podcast to respond to Nurkic on Tuesday.

However, rather than letting Green get the last word, Nurkic shared a reply via X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

"All good bad boy just don’t stay to long on podcast, gonna be late for  therapy session," Nurkic wrote.

Nurkic isn't known for being controversial, yet his relationship with Green continues to deteriorate. Whether Nurkic is simply playing the part to antagonize Green is unclear. However, given the Warriors veteran's history of being short-tempered, this could be a smart long-term play should the two face each other in the postseason.

Of course, Green didn't allow Nurkic to have the last word. Instead, he used the Suns' big man's post as a way of promoting his podcast episode.

While the dispute between the two veterans isn't ideal, it's not breaking any rules. It's producing more discussion surrounding the NBA and is a great form of promotion for the league. It's not the sort of promotion the Association will want, though. Green is supposed to be treading lightly; he's already been suspended twice this season.

Golden State doesn't have another game against the Suns on their schedule. If the two teams are going to see each other again, it will be in the playoffs. Nurkic will likely continue taking shots at Green in hopes it will lead to him making a mistake in the postseason.

This feud is far from over. Hopefully, it doesn't escalate beyond a war of words on social media. Otherwise, Nurkic may find himself being cast as an NBA villain, and that's not a nice spot to find himself in. Just ask Dillon Brooks.
