The Suns are expected to waive shooting guard Keon Johnson and forward Ish Wainright, according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.

Johnson, 21, is 6-foot-5 and was acquired from the Trail Blazers as part of the trade that sent Damian Lillard to the Bucks.

Johnson appeared in 40 games last season with the Trail Blazers, and 22 with Portland the year before that. His NBA career started with the Clippers in 2021-22.

Wainright, 29, is 6-6 and has spent each of his first two seasons with the Suns. He appeared in 60 games last year, averaging 4.2 points and 2.3 rebounds.

The Suns also acquired center Jusuf Nurkic, shooting guard Grayson Allen, and forward Nassir Little as part of the Lillard trade, sending center Deandre Ayton to the Blazers.
