Tacko Fall is heading overseas. Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Tacko Fall and Yao Ming now have something in common other than their height

Tacko Fall looks like he should dominate on an NBA court. The big man from Dakar, Senegal, checks in at a whopping 7-foot-6, 311 pounds.

For comparison's sake, consider the fact that Shaquille O'Neal checked in at 7-foot-1, 325 pounds, so Fall would make "The Big Aristotle" look small. Perhaps a better player comparison for Fall is Yao Ming, who was also 7-foot-6 and one single pound heavier.

Ming, an eight-time All-Star and five-time All-NBA center, had a Hall of Fame NBA career.

Fall?

Not so much.

He's played two seasons for the Boston Celtics and one for the Cleveland Cavaliers but has averaged just 2.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game in just 6.2 rebounds per game — despite being a giant even relative to most NBA players.

Despite the size comparison, Fall's NBA career has been the complete opposite of Ming's. Ironically, though, the two players will now share a similarity other than their height and weight.

Shams Charania of The Athletic is reporting that Fall is heading to China to play professional ball, which presumably means he's given up on his NBA dreams for now.

Fall will be playing for the Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers of the CBA. Ming played with the Shanghai Sharks before he was drafted by the Houston Rockets as the first overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft.
