The Orlando Magic are currently a team that is in a rebuilding process. They have a solid young core with players like Cole Anthony and Franz Wagner. There's no doubt that they could be a force in the future, but the team is nowhere close to being competitive right now.

Terrence Ross is a veteran that is currently on the Magic. He is well-known for being a solid bench scorer that can get hot from beyond the arc. Recently, Ross claimed that he'd welcome getting traded from the Magic this offseason, and added that the franchise knows that he wants a trade. Kurt Helin of NBC Sports relayed the news.

“We’re definitely in different spots,” Ross said. “I feel like I’m a part of that old regime, and they’re going in a different direction. I don’t know what they’ve got in store for me. It’s hard to say. They don’t really let me know too much about what they’re doing so. I’m kind of here just along for the ride.”

When asked if he planned on having conversations with the Magic’s front office about wanting to be traded, Ross responded: “They know that. They’re well aware of that, so there’s no point. They’re going to do what they want to do regardless.”

It remains to be seen if Terrence Ross does in fact get traded. There were some teams that were interested in acquiring the longtime veteran, most notably the Los Angeles Lakers. He would definitely help the Lakers with his floor spacing and scoring.

Hopefully, Terrence Ross does end up getting moved. He could definitely be a contributor on a competing squad, rather than being on a rebuilding team. Perhaps he will get his wish in the offseason, and he'll likely have a variety of suitors looking to acquire him for their bench.
