Don’t look now but the Boston Celtics have really turned their season around and have been playing fantastic basketball lately.

The team is currently sixth in the East with a record of 35-26.

They still have a long way to go but fans are hopeful that the Celtics could actually make a strong playoff run this year.

Boston has been impressive in just about every way but they are particularly fearsome when on the road.

ESPN points out that the Celtics haven’t trailed in a road game since their competition against the New Orleans Pelicans back on January 29.

Before last night’s win against the Brooklyn Nets, the Celtics were the only NBA team in the last 25 seasons to win four straight road games in wire-to-wire fashion, meaning they never trailed once.

That’s a wild statistic and truly admirable – but is it enough to claim the East?

Boston Going Big

Things weren’t always going smoothly for Boston this year.

There was a time when the team was struggling to stay about .500 and team chemistry and coaching seemed off.

But they turned it around lately and January was a particularly great time for the team.

Most recently, they claimed a nine-game winning streak until the Detroit Pistons snapped it on February 16.

Coming back from the All-Star break, the team made a big statement with its victory over the Nets.

It was yet another win – and another one on the road.

Making it to the Finals will take more than a lot of road victories, of course.

But Boston has shown that they have finally figured themselves – and their opponents – out and that gives them the best chance they have had in ages.
