The Milwaukee Bucks have made another roster move with the opening of the regular season a few days away.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic , Milwaukee signed big man Marques Bolden to a two-way contract, giving the Bucks some help in the frontcourt. Bolden had signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Bucks.
Finally making the cut
Bolden finally made it to the Milwaukee roster after his first attempt to join the team did not materialize. The Bucks signed Bolden on September 22nd, 2022, but waived him on October 16th or just days before the start of the regular season.
Bolden played for three seasons with Duke but went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft. He spent most of his career in the G League through the Cleveland Charge and Salt Lake City Stars.
Marques was tapped by the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2019 NBA Summer League. He was waived by the Cavs in February 2021 and was reacquired by the Canton Charge.
Bolden played a total of seven NBA games–all with Cleveland–with averages of 1.0 points per game and 1.1 rebounds.
Busy off-season for the Bucks
The 6-foot-10 center earned the two-way contract after the Bucks waived forward Drew Timme, guard Jazian Gortman, and two-way guard Omari Moore.
Teams will have until Monday, October 23rd, to finalize their rosters which will include a maximum of 15 standard contract spots and three two-way contract spots.
Milwaukee is one of the busiest teams in the off-season and made the most significant move when they acquired superstar Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers.
