Are the Milwaukee Bucks up for something? This question popped up after the Bucks waived two two-way players that opened roster spots.
Eric Nehm of The Athletic reported that the Bucks waived Marques Bolden and Lindell Wigginton. The move was unsurprising, as Wigginton and Bolden hardly saw action this season.

Wigginton and Bolden have only played a combined five games this season. Lindell played for only three games and averaged 2.0 points in just 2.7 minutes of playing time. Marques saw action for just two games and was good for 1.5 points, 0.5 rebounds, and 0.5 steals in 1.5 minutes of stint on the court.
Aside from Lindell and Marques, Milwaukee has another two-way player in TyTy Washington.
Wigginton played seven games last season and averaged 7.1 points. He displayed flashes of scoring brilliance when he scored 25 points in a 114-137 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Bolden was signed by the Bucks to an Exhibit 10 deal just a few days before the opening of the NBA 2023-24 season. He played for the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2021.
A chance to address much-maligned defense
With the release of Bolden and Wigginton, fans can’t help but suspect that the Bucks are making some moves to bolster their lineup.
Milwaukee is currently second in the Eastern Conference with a 25-11 record, but the Bucks have been the subject of harsh criticism for their defensive ineptness.
Milwaukee is off to a 1-3 start this month, a slow start that has been attributed to its atrocious defense. Now, with available roster spots, the Bucks could bring in players that could give them much-needed teeth to their defense.
