Throughout the 2023-24 NBA season, Spencer Davies is going to turn back the clock to milestone moments and important dates in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ past. Whether they’ve been good, bad or sad, these events were significant in the franchise’s 53-year existence.

When the Cavs defeated the Golden State Warriors on Nov. 26, 1994 by a final score of 101-87, they did so by playing defense and making a lot of shots, just not a whole lot at the free-throw line.

Cleveland set an NBA record for the fewest free-throw attempts in a game with only two tries at the charity stripe. John "Hot Rod" Williams and Tony Campbell each made one free throw for the team to go 2-for-2 on the night.

In comparison, the Warriors went 16-for-23 from the free-throw line.

Cavs legend Mark Price put on a performance to remember that evening, dropping 31 points and dishing out 10 assists to lead the squad. He pulled down four rebounds and recorded a steal as well.

It was Price's night from the jump, as he went a sizzing 13-for-16 from the field and nailed five of his seven triple attempts. (Ironically, the Warriors acquired Price two seasons after this too.)

Danny Ferry and Michael Cage gave Cleveland a jolt off the bench by combining for 24 points and 12 rebounds. Cage also blocked three shots.

As a team, the Cavs shot 49.4 percent and made 11 of 22 threes. It was a bizarre night that still stands the test of time in NBA history, and luckily, Cleveland was able to come out with a win.
