Three Thunder players, including Lu Dort, undergo season-ending surgeries

The Oklahoma City Thunder announced that three players, including second leading scorer Luguentz Dort, are done for the season after all undergoing surgery Tuesday.

Dort, 22, has been out of action for the Thunder since February due to a shoulder injury and had a procedure to repair a torn labrum. Prior to his injury, the third-year player was averaging 17.2 points per game with 1.7 assists and 4.2 rebounds.

Ty Jerome and Mike Muscala are also done for the year after undergoing hernia and ankle surgeries, respectively.

Jerome, 24, was acquired by the Thunder in November 2020 as part of the trade that sent Chris Paul to the Phoenix Suns. The third-year guard averaged 16.7 minutes per game this season with 7.1 points and 2.3 assists. Muscala was averaging 13.8 minutes per game with 8.0 points and 3.0 rebounds.

All three players are expected to be ready for the 2022-23 season.

The Thunder are currently 20-44 with 10 losses in their last 12 games.
