Atlanta Hawks guard Bogdan Bogdanovic (13) Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Currently sitting as the No. 1 seed in the West, the Minnesota Timberwolves may be ready to go all-in.

NBA insider Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reported Tuesday that Atlanta Hawks guard Bogdan Bogdanovic has drawn attention from the Wolves ahead of the Feb. 8 trade deadline. Siegel notes that Bogdanovic’s contract could complicate matters given Minnesota’s cap situation but adds that the Wolves would consider moving Kyle Anderson, who is on an expiring deal.

Bogdanovic, 31, is one of the more underrated wing scorers in the league, averaging a career-high 17.1 points per game for Atlanta this season. He is also a career 38.5 percent three-point shooter and produces those numbers despite coming off the bench. While Bogdanovic is only an average size for a wing at 6-foot-5 and just started a new four-year, $68 million contract, he may be a valuable asset from the 19-27 Hawks.

At 33-14 on the season, Minnesota has found plenty of success with their current starting five. But big man Naz Reid is their best bench scorer as the Wolves do not have much firepower with their second-string backcourt. Meanwhile, for Atlanta, Bogdanovic might not be the only veteran name that they send out at the trade deadline.
