The Toronto Raptors made a series of roster moves on Monday.

First the team signed Mouhamadou Gueye on a two-way NBA deal per Shams Charania.

Gueye appeared in one game for Toronto over a 10-day contract after spending the season with Raptors 905:

To make room for Gueye, the Raptors waived 5-foot-7 guard Markquis Nowell. Nowell appeared in just one game for Toronto this season and spent much of the year in the G League where he dealt with a hamstring injury.

Nowell played in 20 games for the Raptors 905 this season. He averaged 15.3 points and 8.9 assists while shooting 42 percent from the floor and 38.5 percent from three-point range.

The Raptors then signed Jahmi’us Ramsey to a 10-day deal as he takes the final roster spot on the team per Charania.

He was drafted by the Sacramento Kings in the second-round of the 2020 NBA Draft and has averaged 20.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists in G League this season:

Ramsey played in 32 NBA games with the Kings between the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons. He averaged just 3.1 points while shooting 27 percent from three-point range.

Ramsey will be eligible for one more 10-day contract with Toronto following this deal before the Raptors would have to sign him for the remainder of the season.

Ramsey should be available off the bench for Toronto on March 4 when they take on the New Orleans Pelicans.

Raptors take on Pelicans

The Raptors will conclude their four-game homestand when they host the Pelicans.

These teams last met on Feb. 5 as New Orleans blew out Toronto 138-100.
