Tracy McGrady skeptical of James Harden's injury: 'Y'all think he's hurt?'

Not everyone is sold on James Harden's lingering hamstring injury. That includes Tracy McGrady.

The seven-time All-Star said just as much on the NBA on TNT pregame show Tuesday, pointing to footage of Harden at Sixers practice this week taking stepback jumpers.

"Y'all think he's hurt? You don't rehab a hammy doing stepbacks," McGrady quipped.

Harden missed his last four games with the Brooklyn Nets because of hamstring tightness and isn't expected to make his debut for the 76ers until after the All-Star break. The timing has looked all too suspicious to McGrady.

"We all know Philly was his first choice before he went to Brooklyn," the Hall of Famer said. "So when things hit the fan, he wanted out of there. He shut it down."

McGrady is far from the only one to throw shade at Harden over the last month given how mysterious the bearded point guard tried to be regarding whether he would stay in Brooklyn or go play elsewhere.

Harden isn't getting a ton of love after his introductory press conference either, given his comments about joining the 76ers because he thinks they have more of a drive to win.

"When you say you want to play with guys who want to win, what are you insinuating?" McGrady said. "That the guys in Brooklyn didn't want to win? Is that what we're talking about?"

Don't be surprised if the criticism aimed at Harden keeps on coming even once he's in the Sixers lineup. It looks like he's dug himself into a hole that will be hard to get out of.
