Triple H has hilarious response to Joel Embiid's fine

The NBA fined Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid $25K on Friday for his Triple H-inspired crotch chop celebration against the Brooklyn Nets earlier this week.

On Saturday, Triple H asked if Embiid could pay in advance for crotch chops of the future while also offering to contribute to the fund.

There may be more "excessive" celebrations from Embiid. After being snubbed from the All-Star Game starting lineup, Embiid unleashed his frustrations on the Denver Nuggets and two-time MVP Nikola Jokic.

On Saturday afternoon, Embiid helped lead the Sixers back from a 15-point second-half deficit to down the Nuggets 126-119

Embiid put the Sixers on his back, finishing with an insane 47 points, 18 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, Embiid posted 40-plus points and 10 or more rebounds in a game for the 33rd time, tying Michael Jordan.

Another Hall of Famer, Shaquille O'Neal, is the only player with more such games, accomplishing the feat 43 times.

Behind Embiid, the Sixers have won seven straight and 21 of its last 24 games. Embiid leads the NBA in points-per-game (33.8) and finds himself in the thick of the MVP race.

According to Oddschecker, sportsbooks have Embiid listed with the third-best odds (+900) to win the MVP, behind Dallas Mavericks' Luka Doncic (+550) and Jokic (-130).

For any MVP voters that might've missed Embiid's dominant performance on Saturday, a look at the boxscore will show the Sixers' star outscored Jokic by 23 points, holding him to 24 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists.
