LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers headed to South Beach to take on his former Miami Heat squad Sunday evening. Having led Miami to two NBA titles earlier in his career, it was a reunion of sorts for the planet’s best player.

James made sure that his return to Miami was a memorable one in his first game against the squad as a member of the Lakers. He dropped 51 points in a 113-97 win, shooting 19-of-31 from the field.

He’s the first Lakers player since Kobe Bryant to hit 50-plus in a game. And it was a dazzling all-around display.

Even on NFL Sunday, people around the social media took note.
