Tyler Herro, Heat coaches offer help after South Florida building collapses

Miami Heat star Tyler Herro and two coaches were on the scene on Thursday to offer assistance after a 12-story condominium collapsed in South Florida.

According to ESPN, Herro was working out with assistant coaches Chris Quinn and Eric Glass when they were told about the building collapse in Surfside, just a little over 10 miles away from the Heat practice facility. The trio drove to the site and was spotted bringing supplies to first responders on the scene.

According to ABC News, a report came in around 1:30am the Champlain Towers South condominium had collapsed. A Miami-Dade County official told ABC at least three people have been confirmed dead and "as many as 99 are unaccounted for." A confirmed 35 residents had been rescued from the rubble at the time ABC reported the story.

Surfside Mayor Charles Burkett told the press the building was built in the 1980s and undergoing roof work.
