Tyronn Lue: Clippers overcoming 3-1 series deficit to Suns is 'very doable'

The Los Angeles Clippers are on the brink of elimination following an 84-80 Game 4 loss to the Phoenix Suns Saturday night. However, head coach Tyronn Lue believes his team can bounce back from a 3-1 series deficit.

Teams have only successfully come back from a 3-1 series deficit 13 times in NBA history, with the Denver Nuggets being the most recent to do so back-to-back in last year's Orlando bubble.

Lue is the only head coach to pull off such a comeback in the NBA Finals, doing so with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.

The Clippers have also come back from 2-0 series deficits twice this postseason, first against the Dallas Mavericks and again against the Utah Jazz.

It'll be especially difficult for L.A. to claw back into this series, though, with Game 5 shifting back to Phoenix. The Clippers are also unlikely to have superstar Kawhi Leonard due to a knee injury, adding to their challenges.

Game 5 is scheduled for Monday night.
