The Phoenix Suns would like to continue carrying momentum after their win against the Denver Nuggets last night, and they hope to have guard Devin Booker back sooner than anticipated.

Booker sprained his ankle in the late stages of Saturday's loss against the Houston Rockets. Suns coach Frank Vogel told reporters following the game x-rays came back negative, though he didn't have a solidified timetable for Booker's return.

Since, Booker has missed Sunday's loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Tuesday's win over the Denver Nuggets.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Booker was expected to be out between seven to ten days. The Arizona Republic's Duane Rankin offered a best-case scenario of five days and worst-case of 14 days missed due to the injury.

That was a bit earlier in the week.

During last night's broadcast, TNT insider Chris Haynes offered the following on Booker:

"The earliest that Booker could return, though it's a long shot, the earliest that he could return is March 9 against the Boston Celtics. But I'm told he stayed back in Phoenix. He's receiving treatment around the clock to get back in a timely fashion. I was also told that is if this were a playoff game, he would be playing tonight. So the Suns are just try to be cautious."

So, certainly not an injury Suns fans should feel worried about, at least from Haynes' words.

Prior to the win over Denver, Vogel was asked about Booker's prospects of returning soon and gave similar sentiments:

"He's still day-to-day. Obviously he stayed back between flights and the altitude works against us trying to keep the swelling down. We kept him home and he's day-to-day," Vogel said.

"We'll see (when asked about playing in upcoming games). He's really day-to-day, unlikely he plays Thursday. We'll see how he is over the weekend and into next week."

The Suns will release their initial injury report for Thursday's meeting with the Toronto Raptors later tonight.
