On Saturday evening, the Utah Jazz  hosted the New Orleans Pelicans in Salt Lake City. 

The Jazz won the game by a score of 105-100, and Collin Sexton led the way with 16 points, three rebounds and six assists while shooting 5/13 from the field and 3/8 from the three-point range in 28 minutes of playing time.  

Following the game, the NBA announced that Sexton had been fined $2,000. 

Via NBA Official: "UTA’s Collin Sexton was assessed a postgame Flopping fine of $2,000 upon league office review for https://nba.com/watch/video/nop-vs-uta… on Nov. 25 vs. NOP."

Sexton is now averaging 12.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest while shooting 43.9% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range in 16 games. 

With the victory over the Pelicans, the Jazz improved to 5-11 in their first 16 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.  

They are 3-7 over their previous ten games and 4-4 in the eight games they have hosted on their home floor in Salt Lake City. 

The Jazz will play their next game on Monday evening when they (again) host the Pelicans. 

Sexton was the eighth pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Alabama and is in his sixth season in the league.  

Before the Jazz, he spent the first four seasons of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers

The 24-year-old has career averages of 18.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest while shooting 46.3% from the field and 37.7% from the three-point range.
