A novel created by the late Kobe Bryant will be released in July, and the NBA icon’s widow shared a first look at the book on social media.

In an Instagram post, Vanessa Bryant shared a preview of “Geese Are Never Swans,” a novel that was the brainchild of the Los Angeles Lakers legend and written by psychologist Eva Clark.

The collaborative young adult novel centers on a character named Gus, a young swimmer who aspires to one day compete in the Olympics. First, however, he has to first overcome “tough issues,” including challenges associated with his mental health.

“This story perfectly highlights the healing nature that lies within sports,” Vanessa wrote on Instagram Thursday.

It was just in March that Vanessa Bryant similarly shared excitement over the release of another one of her late husband’s literary projects, a book titled, “Season One.” The book was the second installment of “The Wizenard Series,” which began with the opening novel, “Training Camp.”

“Geese Are Never Swans” is slated for release on July 21 by Granity Studios, Bryant’s multimedia company.
