This loss marks the team's second consecutive defeat, bringing their season record to 0-2.

Maurice Smith, Jr. was the top scorer for the Buccaneers, contributing 22 points and making 44% of his field goal attempts.

In the beginning of the game, Smith had a strong performance for UVI; he scored 11 out of their first 15 points.
