Warriors' Otto Porter ruled out of Game 3 with foot injury

Golden State Warriors forward Otto Porter Jr. entered Sunday night's Game 3 of the Western Conference finals against the Dallas Mavericks having scored in double figures in back-to-back contests and four of his last five games. In the second quarter of action, Porter got into the scorer's book on a layup, but suffered a foot injury on the play.

Shortly after the second half began, the Dubs' bench piece was ruled out for the rest of the contest.

Porter Jr. is in his ninth NBA season and with his fourth team. During his first season with Golden State, the former No. 3 overall pick out of Georgetown averaged 8.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 22.2 minutes per game across 63 contests (15 starts), while posting a .464/.370/.803 shooting line.

The 28-year-old Porter Jr.'s field goal percentage was his highest in three years and his rebounds per game were his most since 2018. In 12 postseason games this spring, the 2013 draft selection has posted 5.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 21.9 minutes per contest.
