Warriors sign free-agent guard Donte DiVincenzo to two-year, $9.3M deal

On Friday, the Golden State Warriors added a valuable swingman to its lineup after agreeing to terms with free-agent guard Donte DiVincenzo.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, DiVincenzo will sign a two-year, $9.3 million contract to join the Warriors.

DiVincenzo, 25, played 42 games last season between the Milwaukee Bucks and Sacramento Kings.

In 17 games with the Bucks last season, DiVincenzo averaged 7.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists, playing just over 20 minutes per contest.

The Bucks dealt DiVincenzo to the Kings as part of a four-team trade in February with the Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Clippers.

DiVincenzo played 25 games for the Kings in his short time with Sacramento, averaging 10.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.5 steals.

In April, DiVincenzo was reportedly unhappy with the Kings, claiming they tried to sabotage his value on the free-agent market by refusing to start him down the stretch.

DiVincenzo was selected No. 17 overall in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft by the Bucks out of Villanova.

Over four NBA seasons, he's averaged 9.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 201 games.
