Warriors' Stephen Curry sets NBA record for three-pointers in a month with 85

Stephen Curry just keeps on rolling.

The Golden State Warriors star hit seven three-pointers in a 117-113 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday to set a new NBA record for most 3s in a calendar month with 85.

The previous record was held by Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden, who hit 82 threes in November 2019 while with the Houston Rockets.

Curry explained that he knows he's in a great rhythm after the win over Sacramento and that nothing is going through his mind.

"When you're in this type of rhythm, nothing.

"It's the best way to explain it," Curry continued, per ESPN's Nick Friedell. "It's just trying to get a decent look, get your feet underneath you, and then the rest is muscle memory, confidence and just creativity, so just trying to be in the moment as much as possible. When you're missing, that's when you start thinking about mechanics, you start thinking about other stuff, those thoughts creep in your head. But when you're in a flow, in rhythm, there is not much going on upstairs. It's nice."

Curry also hit two other milestones this month. He passed Wilt Chamberlain to become the Warriors' all-time leading scorer and became the first player in NBA history age 33 or older to score 30 or more points in 11 straight games.

The Warriors are currently battling for a play-in spot in the Western Conference with a 31-30 record. Curry is a big reason why the team has been on the playoff bubble this season. He is averaging a career-high 31.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game while shooting 48.9% from the field and 42.7% from deep.
