Watch: Anthony Davis 'brain fart' ruins game-winner

LeBron James had the ball with a chance to win the play-in game. He made the right play and passed the ball.

James found his teammate for an absolutely wide-open three from the corner. It looked like Dennis Schroder had shot the Lakers into the seven seed by drilling a go-ahead three with 1.4 second remaining.

Then Anthony Davis had a "brain fart."

The Brow crashed into Mike Conley in the short corner as he was falling out of bounds on a desperation three-pointer. Conley went to the line and hit all three free throws to send the game to overtime, though the first one was a nail-biter.

The Lakers eventually triumphed in overtime, but not before another scare. Leading by three points with 19 seconds left, Mike Conley stole the ball from James and found Taurean Prince for three in the corner. Prince was 4-of-6 from deep in the game, but he couldn't hit this one and the Lakers escaped.

After the game, James needled Davis about his foul.

James joked about AD's "brain fart" ruining Schroder's game-winner, but he likely would have had harsher words if Los Angeles hadn't held on to win.

Now, he and the Lake Show will have to keep their brain farts in check when they face off against the No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies this weekend.
