Watch: Bronny James picks up huge block eerily similar to LeBron's NBA Finals rejection

On Monday, LeBron James' eldest son — 17-year-old Bronny James — threw down a thunderous, posterizing dunk reminiscent of countless slams that his 37-year-old father has recorded in the past. Now, the teenager is doing it on the defensive end.

While the stage is not nearly the same — Bronny James is currently playing in Europe with the California Basketball Club (CBC) as part of the AXE Euro Tour — the rejection looked a bit similar to a particularly famous one that "LBJ" had in 2016.

The four-time MVP's clutch block on Andre Iguodala came in the waning moments of Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals against Golden State Warriors. James' Cleveland Cavaliers hung on for a 93-89 victory, the team secured its first (and only) championship in franchise history and the future Hall of Fame earned Finals MVP honors.

It's still to be determined whether the Akron, Ohio native will play long enough to share the court with Bronny in the future (or if the youngster will make the Association), but "King James" recently took a step toward making that goal a reality. No. 6 agreed to a two-year, $97.1 million contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday with a third-year option for the 2023-2024 campaign, which is when his son would first become eligible to turn pro.
