Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo cannot believe his girlfriend was once a Lakers fan. Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Giannis Antetokounmpo and his girlfriend Mariah Riddlesprigger held a Q&A on social media Wednesday night designed to give fans an opportunity to learn things about them, but it was actually the Milwaukee Bucks star who made the most shocking discovery.

Antetokounmpo read a question from one Instagram follower who asked Riddlesprigger which NBA team she likes the most aside from the Bucks. Riddlesprigger casually answered that she was a Los Angeles Lakers fan growing up, and Giannis had a hilarious reaction.

Giannis and Mariah recently had a baby together, so it’s hard to believe Giannis didn’t know that bit of information about the mother of his child. He may have just been playing it up for his fans, but he did an excellent job of that if so.

Riddlesprigger is from Fresno, Calif., so it’s no surprise she grew up rooting for the Lakers. We highly doubt the former Rice University volleyball star will feel conflicted if the Bucks and Lakers meet in the NBA Finals, but some of the rumors we have heard about Giannis’ free agency may now take on new life.
