Watch: Jaylen Brown hits big shot to send Warriors-Celtics to OT

Jaylen Brown was having a quiet game for 47 minutes and 42 seconds.

The All-Star guard hit a huge three-pointer with 18 seconds left, his first triple of the game, to send the Boston Celtics' Finals rematch with the Golden State Warriors into overtime.

Before that play, Brown was 0-3 from the three-point range and just 3-14 overall, with eight points. But when a Warriors' defensive breakdown left him wide open, he delivered.

Then in overtime, he took over.

Brown dished out two assists and scored five points in the extra period, including the go-ahead layup after Stephen Curry had retaken the lead with a three.

Not only did Brown double his point total in the last five minutes and 18 seconds, but he also managed to foul out Klay Thompson with a minute to go in OT. So when the Warriors made a late charge and cut an eight-point lead to three, one Splash Brother wasn’t on the floor for the final tying attempt.

It’s a testament to Brown’s maturity as a player that he managed to contribute in other ways while his shot wasn’t falling. He also grabbed nine rebounds, including an offensive board in OT. And even though he was ice-cold from the floor, when it mattered most, he had ice water in his veins.
