Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (0) never had any bad intentions. Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

Boston Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum is on such a roll it’s just a matter of time before he challenges Tyson Fury to a boxing match.

Just ask Portland Trail Blazers veteran Trevor Ariza, who was on the receiving end of a punch to the face from Tatum Tuesday night.

It’s not what you think. There were no bad intentions from Tatum. We can also conclude that Ariza acted to an extent.

Tatum would end up throwing down the jam before officials on hand in the Pacific Northwest called an offensive foul on him.

That’s about the only thing that has stopped this rising star recently. Tatum is averaging 36 points on 54 percent shooting from the field over the past three games.
