The Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Chicago Bulls 115-110 on Sunday.
In an otherwise forgettable outing, LeBron James did all he could do to guide his team to victory. He finished with 31 points, 14 rebounds and six assists on the day, but his contributions didn’t stop there.
James also worked his Jedi mind tricks on the officiating team refereeing the game.
On one particular sequence in the second quarter, James somehow managed to convince the refs that a ball he clearly threw off Russell Westbrook’s leg somehow was actually off Bulls guard Lonzo Ball.

Big picture, though, that play did little to change L.A.’s fortunes. Aside from being 16-15 on the year, the team has also lost six players (Kent Bazemore, Avery Bradley, Talen Horton-Tucker, Dwight Howard, Malik Monk and Austin Reaves) and head coach Frank Vogel to COVID health and safety protocols. In addition, Anthony Davis is out a month with a knee injury.
