Watch: Obi Toppin catches fire against Bucks

The Bucks didn’t want Pascal Siakam to torch them again. They weren’t ready for Obi Toppin.

Toppin scored 11 points in his four first-quarter minutes, making all five of his shots. Indiana’s bench had 19 points in the first quarter alone, shooting 8 for 9. That’s almost as many points as Milwaukee’s bench had for all of Game 2 (20).

The energy of the Pacers overwhelmed the Bucks late in the quarter, with Indiana pushing the ball and Toppin simply outrunning defenders for easy buckets.

Tyrese Haliburton continued to distribute the ball more than he scored, putting up six points and five assists in the first. But he did show he can get to the rim against Milwaukee’s defense.

After 12 minutes, the Pacers led 39-22, and the Indianapolis crowd was fired up. That included a certain WNBA No. 1 pick who just joined the Fever.
