The Hawks once again completed a huge second-half comeback against the Sixers on Wednesday night. Atlanta outscored Philly 40-19 in the fourth quarter to win the game 109-106 and take the series lead.
Hawks star Trae Young led the way with a team- and game-high 39 points on 10-of-23 shooting from the field and a jaw-dropping 17-of-19 from the free-throw line.
"We keep fighting no matter what the score is. I'm proud of this team," Young said, per The Associated Press (h/t ESPN). "We have confidence in each other. We all love each other's company and it shows on the court. We never stop believing until the final buzzer goes off."
That fighting spirit has paid off tremendously for the Hawks, who have rallied for a come-from-behind win for two games in a row. The plucky Hawks took a 3-2 series lead and have a chance to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals when they host the Sixers for Game 6 on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Atlanta hasn't been to the conference finals since the 2014-15 season.
