Watch: Trae Young, Lester Quinones trade long-range triples

Trae Young sank a long three-pointer with 1.8 seconds left in the first quarter. Then Lester Quinones sank an even longer one.

Steph Curry wasn’t making his threes for the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, so Quinones, last year’s Most Improved Player in the G League, took over. He hit three triples in a row, including this half-court bomb.

He did follow up with an airball, but it was a well-earned heat check.

Then Young took another turn, dazzling with ridiculous shots.

And, not to be left out, Curry made his own deep three while being fouled in the third quarter.

For two teams that combined to shoot under 30 percent from three-point range through three quarters, there was a stunning number of deep makes. Perhaps the teams needed to take two or three steps back from the line on all of their deep balls to find more consistency.
