Khris Middleton , forward for the Milwaukee Bucks, was chasing a triple-double and needed one point to reach the mark. However, his head coach, Doc Rivers, had other plans as he attempted to withdraw him during the subsequent timeout, only for Middleton to let Coach Rivers know he wanted to stay on.

The coach agreed, and he ended up scoring during the next possession and reaching the mark. This marked his second triple-double in his career. Middleton ended the night with 11 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds.

His first and only triple-double before this was on January 20, 2018, against the Philadelphia 76ers, where he had 23 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. The three-time All-Star spoke after the game about how he needed the Doc’s help to clinch the mark.

I don't chase stats too often. I wouldn't have got it tonight if I (hadn't) said a little word to Doc. I was feeling it, I guess you could say. I realized I was one point away from where I could be in control. I can hopefully knock down the jump shot like I did tonight. Khris Middleton said

The shot gave the Bucks a 109-86 lead, although Middleton stated he was under much pressure to get it in. The Bucks have won four of their last five matches, with their only loss in that run coming against table-toppers the Boston Celtics.

Giannis and the Milwaukee Bucks pick up form at the right time

Last night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Milwaukee Bucks won their second match in a row, 118-113. Thus, it sends a clear message that there will be a tough nut to crack the postseason. And with the form of their former MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo, their chances seem brighter.

In his last six games, Giannis averages 30.1 points, 12.1 rebounds, and seven assists per game, which has helped the Bucks solidify second place in the Eastern Conference standings.

However, the Bucks know that the postseason is a different ballgame and would not underestimate any team to stand a chance to win the title they last won in 2021.

Furthermore, the Bucks can prove their current form is no fluke when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers and the resurgent New Orleans Pelicans in their next two games. And with the Greek Freak on fire alongside Damian Lillard , whom he trusts completely, don’t count them out yet.
