After the Milwaukee Bucks won Game 1 of their 1st round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers, the expectations were that the form would continue to game 2. Despite Damian Lillard‘s electric performance, it was not enough to get the Bucks the win. Many Bucks fans were upset enough to leave the game midway.

The Indiana Pacers were in control of the game for 3 quarters. But the Bucks behind Damian Lillard’s 34-point burst were not far behind. At the start of the 4th quarter, the Bucks were only trailing in single digits. Not a difficult situation for a team full of champions. However, the Pacers changed gears and raced ahead, leading by 20 points with a few minutes to go in regulation. At this stage, Milwaukee Bucks fans knew that the game was out of their hands, and they headed for the exit.

The video showed fans moving out visibly upset as their team could not finish the job at home. Despite having one of the best point guards to play the game, their team could not go on to the road with a winning record.

After not shooting well in game 1, the young Indiana Pacers squad ran up the points total similar to what they have done all season. Now the momentum has shifted to the Pacers’ side as they head home to host the Bucks for 2 games.

Milwaukee Bucks are in a dangerous position

This season was supposed to be the one in which the Milwaukee Bucks return to contend for the NBA title. That was the intention when they traded for Damian Lillard to pair alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo. A mid-season coaching change later, the Bucks were extremely inconsistent heading into the playoffs.

Now with Antetokounmpo still to return from his calf injury, the doubts have already grown louder. After game 1, analysts felt Lillard could pull the team on his own until his superstar teammate returns. Now with the game 2 debacle, everyone has lost hope. The Indiana Pacers essentially showed them that at full speed, the Bucks cannot match them.

Especially, not with the Greek Freak out. Hence, all situations are pointing toward another 1st round playoff exit for the Bucks. Their fans will surely not appreciate that, considering the high expectations they had.
