On Thursday evening, the Golden State Warriors will host the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
The Warriors come into the evening with a 6-6 record in their first 12 games, and they are in the middle of a four-game losing streak.
In addition, the team is playing without their best player, Steph Curry, who is out due to a knee injury, and Draymond Green ( suspension).
Recently, Danny Green was waived by the Philadelphia 76ers, and he still remains a free agent available to be signed by any team in the league.
What if the Warriors signed Green?
The Warriors are a veteran-led team and have won four NBA Championships over the previous nine seasons.
Green has played 14 seasons in the NBA and is a three-time NBA Champion (he's appeared in 169 NBA playoff games).
With the Warriors struggling and missing key players, signing Green could be a good move.
He would be an excellent addition to the locker room and is one of the best role players in league history (he shoots 40.0% from the three-point range for his career).
Right now, the Warriors are shooting 34.8% from the three-point range, which ranks 21st in the league.
Green has played for the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Memphis Grizzlies and Philadelphia 76ers over 832 regular season games.
His career averages are 8.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest.
At this point, the 36-year-old would be able to be signed for a veteran's minimum deal, so there would be no risk for the Warriors.
