The Wizards currently hold the 15th pick in the draft and with that, they held draft workouts today to help them determine who they will select.

The list of attendees is as follows:

  • Bassey said Wizards not having a coach didn’t impact his workout with them, per our own Chris Crouse. Bassey averaged 17.6 points and 11.6 rebounds per game last season in college.
  • Four names emerge as candidates for the open head coaching position for the Wizards, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Wes Unseld Jr., one of the candidates, is also a “serious candidate” for the Magic head coaching job.

  • Former Wizards center Ian Mahinmi has announced his retirement, according to a video on NBA Extra’s Twitter account. Mahinmi played his last four seasons in Washington after stints with the Spurs, Mavericks and Pacers.
