The Washington Wizards have signed shooting guard Jules Bernard to a two-way contract, the team announced in a press release.

Bernard is 6-foot-7 and went undrafted out of UCLA in 2022. He spent last season with the Capital City Go-Go of the G League, 13.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 49 games.

He’s been particularly impressive for the Wizards’ affiliate this season, averaging 21.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in eight games.

To make room for Bernard, the Wizards waived two-way big man John Butler. He is expected to sign a deal with the Go-Go, per Josh Robbins of The Athletic.

Butler has appeared in nine Showcase Cup games with Capital City this season, averaging 7.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks.
