This season will be the 25th for the Washington Wizards since their rebrand from being the Bullets. To celebrate, the Wizards unveiled their original white, blue and bronze colored uniforms as their Classic Edition.

The Wizards wore the design and color scheme from 1997 until 2011, mostly under previous owner the late Abe Pollin. After Ted Leonsis bought the team, the Wizards went back to their old red, white and blue color scheme they donned under the Bullets name.

The Wizards also unveiled their corresponding court design when the team wears the classic uniforms.

The likes of Chris Webber, Juwan Howard and Rod Strickland were the first to wear the classic white, blue and bronze uniforms, but they were most notable under Michael Jordan and later Gilbert Arenas, Antwan Jamison and Caron Butler.

Arenas and Jamison made the playoffs four straight seasons, and Butler was part of the last three. The Wizards won just one playoff series under the uniforms.

A season after drafting John Wall first overall, the Wizards went back to a look similar to the old Bullets.

For a generation, the Wizards bronze and blue look is a classic. Now the unis are be reintroduced to another set of fans this upcoming season. It also gives cornerstone player Bradley Beal his first chance to don the look.
